Event Details

About Three Cups of Tea:  The author, Greg Mortenson, is a real-life Indiana Jones who used education to combat terrorism in the Taliban’s backyard.  Inspired by a chance encounter with impoverished villagers in the mountains of Afghanistan in 1993, Greg Mortenson began a quest to build a school.  Over the next decade he in fact helped build fifty-five schools, especially for girls, that brought education to one of the most isolated and dangerous regions on earth.
